Science of Synthesis 2.0 Release date: 25 May, 2004 Four New Volumes
The new updated version of the product has now expanded encompassing the content of a four further volumes: A total of 26 000 new reactions have been included! Electronic Backfile Science of Synthesis is now almost seamlessly linked to the Houben-Weyl series which appears as the Electronic Backfile. Browsing between the two is unrestricted and furthermore searching in Science of Synthesis also provides the relevant links to the Backfile. New Interface The interface of Science of Synthesis has been developed and improved to make finding the relevant information as straightforward as possible. The interface is designed to be intuitive and logical, permitting fast and effective information retrieval. The new tab system allows the user to have the Document View, Advanced Search, Search Result, Search History, and Volume Info pages simultaneously open and permits browsing between them. New Advanced Search Interface The Advanced Search Interface has been expanded to include the structure query window, displaying at all times the structure being searched. Structure searching and the extensive combination of text searches can be carried out both together and independently. Linking Science of Synthesis now incorporates the CrossRef service. |
News Thieme Chemistry beta website Try out our new beta website. Pharmaceutical Substances 3.1 was released on October 28th, 2008. This release features 51 new active pharmaceutical ingredients and updates to 16 syntheses. Volume Publication We are pleased to announce the publication of Science of Synthesis Volume 37 [Ethers] by Craig J. Forsyth and Eric N. Jacobsen in May 2008. Professor We are very sorry to announce that Professor John Colin Tatlow passed away on April 9th, 2008. Professor Tatlow was the Editor-in-Chief of the E10 Organo-Fluorine Compounds (Houben–Weyl) series and made a major contribution to fluorine chemistry during his career. He was the recipient of the American Chemical Society Award for Creative Work in Fluorine Chemistry in 1990. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
