Pharmaceutical Substances Online

Thieme Chemistry is proud to announce the release of the greatly anticipated online version of Pharmaceutical Substances. The new electronic incarnation of this world renowned monograph utilizes the advances provided by modern technology to the full. The online product was launched on the 1st December 2002.

Amongst the many innovations in the newly created electronic product is the ability to search the structures contained in the synthetic schemes graphically. You can now enter data in a familiar format, using ISIS Draw, and bring up all references to that molecule, or fragment, whether it is an intermediate or the final product. The online version now contains 2278 substances and will be updated biannually.

Professor
John Colin Tatlow
(1923–2008)

We are very sorry to announce that Professor John Colin Tatlow passed away on April 9th, 2008. Professor Tatlow was the Editor-in-Chief of the E10 Organo-Fluorine Compounds (Houben–Weyl) series and made a major contribution to fluorine chemistry during his career. He was the recipient of the American Chemical Society Award for Creative Work in Fluorine Chemistry in 1990. We would like to extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
