After carefully analysing over 200,000 documents, 9,000 journals and 44 patent-issuing authorities, CAS researchers have decided that “Asymmetric Synthesis with Chiral Cyclic Phosphorus Auxiliaries” published in issue 18 (2002) of SYNTHESIS was the “Most Intriguing” paper to be made available in the first quarter of 2003. CAS scientists characterize a document as intriguing if "it contains new, novel or trend-setting scientific research that is likely to be of growing interest over time".

Not only has SYNTHESIS been in the spotlight but also SYNLETT. In 2002 SYNLETT was the twelfth most requested journal on CAS and the only journal specialising in short communications that ranked higher was Organic Letters. For more information click here.
